MUSINGS REGARDING CONSCIOUSNESS: ULTIMATE REALITY AND PSYCHOLOGY: TEACHINGS OF THE SOUL
by David L. Blumenthal, Sc.D., Rel.D., HSPP

Monday, November 12, 2007
7:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.

Workshop Description
Consciousness is the matrix within which all of the experiences of our lives occur and within which all the scenarios of our lives emanate.  It is within this concept that psychology has the ability to instruct the soul with regard to itself.  However, the same psychological dynamics which have the capacity to urge us toward enlightenment and wisdom leave us vulnerable and open to being lead toward confusion and anguish.  Unfortunately, within the human experience the pull toward anguish is reflexive while the path toward transformation and healing usually requires specific attention.

Dr. Blumenthal's presentation aims at helping the clinician distinguish between direct and perceptual experience, as well as between discursive and non-discursive thought.  He will also help the clinician learn to attend to non-discursive experiences in clinical practice, using it as the ground for healing and transformation.

About the presenter:
