DREAMWORK IN THE CONTEXT OF AN INSIGHT-ORIENTED CASE

Workshop Description
Dr. Kelcourse's presentation will explore an individual case in which dream work played a central role.  Dream material will be considered from the psychoanalytic standpoint of body-based memories as well as from the more symbolic standpoint of analytical psychology.  The presenter's orientation includes concern for psychological health as well as more spiritual and theological understandings of wholeness.

About the presenter: 
 
Felicity Brock Kelcourse is Associate Professor of Pastoral Care and Counseling and Director of the Psychotherapy and Faith Program at Christian Theological Seminary.  Her Ph.D. in Psychiatry and Religion is from Union Theological Seminary in New York where she studied with Ann Ulanov.  Her clinical training includes 5 units of Clinical Pastoral Education , and 4 year of post-masters training at the Blanton-Peale Institute in New York including psychodynamic and psychoanalytic work with individuals, as well as MFT and group training.  As an AAPC Fellow, AAMFT Clinical Member, Licensed Mental Health Counselor and spiritual director, she works with individuals, couples and groups.  She finds dreams a powerful ally in discovering the truths that make us whole and set us free.
